Tehran: The General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces and Khatam al-Anbya Central Headquarters have issued a statement, pledging a strong response to any new act of aggression against Iran that will deal a heavy blow to aggressors, particularly the United States and Israel.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the statement was issued on Monday, a day ahead of the 46th anniversary of the beginning of the eight-year imposed war waged by Iraq's toppled Baath regime against Iran in the 1980s. The statement recalled Iran's victory in the eight-year war, achieved through national unity, inflicting a heavy defeat on global powers and the Baath regime, without losing any Iranian territory.

The statement highlighted that the experience of that conflict, along with developments in Iran's defense industry, strengthened the country, compelling 'the arrogant United States and the criminal, child-killing Zionist regime' to submit to the Iranian people and Armed Forces during conflicts in 2025 and 2026.

Under current conditions, the Iranian Armed Forces have upgraded their military capabilities with modern technologies and public support, causing significant damage to the US and Israeli military and security infrastructure in West Asia, altering security dynamics in favor of Iran and the Islamic Ummah.

The statement reaffirmed that the Army, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, the Defense Ministry, the Law Enforcement Forces, the Basij volunteer forces, and border guards will persist in safeguarding national interests, the Iranian people's rights, and the country's territorial integrity, promising more defeats for aggressors, particularly the 'US-Zionist' enemy and their allies.
