Tehran: Spokesperson of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Brigadier General Hossein Mohebbi has declared that the United States has faced defeat in its conflict with Iran, yet lacks the courage to acknowledge this 'historic and humiliating defeat.'

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Washington not only failed to achieve its objectives in the conflict, but also suffered setbacks in key areas underpinning its power, including its inability to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, thereby invalidating Washington's claim of ensuring maritime security.

Mohebbi highlighted that Iranian missiles and drones have significantly impacted US command and logistics centers in regional countries, rendering most of those bases non-operational and forcing the US Fifth Fleet to retreat up to 400 kilometers from the Persian Gulf.

He further elaborated that the targeting of US intelligence headquarters in the region, along with Iran's missile and drone responses, has shattered the belief among Washington's rivals and allies in the invulnerability of advanced US military technologies, such as the F-35 and Patriot systems.

Mohebbi also pointed out that attacks on civilian sites, including the Minab school and a wedding ceremony, along with the testing of unconventional weapons in Lamerd, have eroded the United States' moral standing and initiated a process of growing disillusionment among regional allies regarding Washington's security assurances.

The spokesperson emphasized that the IRGC is prepared for a prolonged war of attrition and will respond with new weapons and strategic changes if the adversary repeats its past mistakes.
