Tehran: Armenia holds a significant position in Iran’s neighborhood policy, as emphasized by First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref during a meeting with Armenian President Vahagan Khachaturyan. Aref underscored the importance of strengthening ties between Iran and Armenia across various sectors, including road construction, energy, environment, transit and transportation, technology, and artificial intelligence.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Aref highlighted that the relations between Tehran and Yerevan are built on solid foundations that are unbreakable. He noted that consultations between the officials of the two nations are proceeding at a satisfactory level, with Iran expressing its eagerness to continue these engagements.

The First Vice President also mentioned his visit to Armenia for the Eurasian Union summit and the bilateral discussions that took place. He pointed out that significant agreements and initiatives have been launched in multiple areas such as transportation, energy, infr
astructure, trade, agriculture, science and technology, education, culture, and public relations. These efforts are aimed at deepening the cooperation step by step.

Aref expressed support for peace talks in the region, advocating for the resolution of disputes through dialogue. He stated that Iran welcomes the establishment of lasting peace and stability among neighboring countries, emphasizing that peaceful resolutions should occur without external interference.
