Amol: The spokesperson for the Islamic Republic of Iran Army has stressed Iran's definitive strategy for controlling the Strait of Hormuz, saying that the Iranian Armed Forces will neutralize the US's interventions in the region. Undoubtedly, resistance against the enemies will continue, and Iran will neutralize US interventions in the region, Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia said, speaking at a ceremony commemorating the martyrdom of Iran's Leader in Amol, northern Iran, on Thursday.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the Americans assumed that by attacking some bases on the southern coasts of the country, they could gain control of this strategic strait. He added that at the same time, Iran has the capability to exercise control over the Strait of Hormuz from every point of its territory.

Referring to the consequences of the US presence in the region, he said countries that have provided bases to the US are today bearing high costs in terms of trade and security. Imported security is not sustainable security; true security is achieved when the regional countries, without the presence of foreigners, provide stability and peace for themselves, Akraminia reiterated.

If the enemy insists on continuing these actions, Iran enjoys capacities that have not been used so far and can influence the equations in the region, he warned.
