Tehran: The Islamic Republic of Iran Army has announced its full support and collaboration with the agencies, organizations, and committees responsible for organizing the farewell and funeral ceremonies for Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, a coordination meeting was conducted on Saturday, attended by Brigadier General Alireza Sheikh, Executive Deputy of the Army, Deputy Mayor of Tehran Lotfollah Forouzandeh, and various officials from the Army's cultural and religious organizations. The primary focus of the meeting was to streamline the Army's support for the forthcoming events.

The Army has committed to providing logistical assistance to the various departments, institutions, and committees involved in organizing the funeral ceremonies, which will take place in Tehran and the holy cities of Qom and Mashhad. Additional responsibilities include setting up a pilgrimage city, camps, and resting points, with General Sheikh affirming the Army's preparedness to facilitate the farewell ceremony for the Martyr Leader.

The public farewell ceremonies for Ayatollah Khamenei are scheduled to commence on July 4 at Imam Khomeini Grand Mosalla, with subsequent funeral processions in Tehran and Qom on July 6 and July 7, respectively. The late Leader will be interred on July 9 at the Imam Reza Shrine in Mashhad.

Ayatollah Khamenei, along with several members of his household, was tragically martyred in a terrorist attack by US-Israeli forces targeting his residence in Tehran on February 28, marking the first day of the joint offensive initiated by the American and Israeli regimes against Iran.
