Tehran: Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei emphasized the heightened significance of the International Quds Day rallies scheduled for Friday, March 28, stating that this year's events carry more weight than in previous years.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Ayatollah Khamenei, in a televised message on Thursday night, highlighted that the Quds Day rallies have consistently been a source of pride for the Iranian nation. They symbolize the steadfast commitment of Iranians to their fundamental political goals and their unwavering support for the Palestinian cause.
Ayatollah Khamenei remarked that the rallies this year hold greater importance. He pointed out that while world nations and those familiar with the Islamic system support the Iranian nation, there are governments opposed to the Islamic Republic. These governments, through propaganda, attempt to portray division and weakness within Iran. However, the Quds Day rallies will serve to counteract these false narratives.
The Leader expressed his hope that this year's rallies would be among the most impressive and significant demonstrations to date. He noted that the annual Quds Day rallies are traditionally held on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, with processions planned across Iran on March 28.
