Tehran:Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei emphasized that European countries which allowed their facilities to be used by aggressors should be held accountable. This statement was made during a meeting between the Foreign Minister and foreign ambassadors, as well as heads of diplomatic missions. Baqaei highlighted that providing such support constitutes participation and complicity in international aggression and the use of force against an independent United Nations member state.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the meeting with ambassadors, heads of foreign diplomatic missions, and representatives of international organizations was conducted following the Foreign Minister's return from the UN General Assembly's annual session in New York. It is a customary practice to brief diplomats based in Tehran after this international event on Iran's positions and the key issues addressed during the visit.

Baqaei pointed out that explicit demands directed at European capitals were a key focus of the discussion. He cited a recent admission by the NATO Secretary General about the use of European territories, facilities, and military bases for orchestrating illegal attacks by the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran. This has been documented in historical archives, showcasing the steadfastness of the Iranian people in resisting these forces and their supporters, thereby highlighting the resilience of Iran.
