Tehran: Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei says bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments are on the agenda of talks between Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Iranian officials during his visit to Tehran on Sunday. Speaking to Iranian state TV, the spokesperson said Fidan will meet his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi and other senior officials during the visit.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza and the regime’s military crackdown in the occupied West Bank, along with its attacks on Lebanon, Syria, and other regional countries, will be a main topic of discussion. ‘These measures by the Zionist regime constitute the biggest threat to international peace and security, and all regional countries are concerned about them,’ he said.
The trip of Mr. Hakan Fidan to Iran is a continuation of the consultations that the Iranian Foreign Ministry regularly holds with neighboring countries, Baqaei stated, adding that Tehran-Ankara relations as well as regional and international issues will be discussed. Through diplomatic engagements, Iran seeks to draw the international community’s attention to what it views as the most serious threat facing humanity, he added.
