Iran and Pakistan Sign $4 Million Trade Deal at Karachi Agriculture Exhibition

Tehran: Iran and Pakistan have signed more than $4 million in trade commitments during the 2025 Karachi International Agriculture and Food Exhibition. Pakistan’s ambassador in Tehran, Mohammad Mudassir Tipu, highlighted the significance of this development in a recent message.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, a 12-member commercial delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran participated in the third edition of the exhibition, which is recognized as the largest agricultural and food products trade event in Karachi. The Iranian delegation engaged in extensive meetings with Pakistani companies that are active in key sectors, including citrus, agricultural products like rice, and meat.

The ambassador reported that three memorandums of understanding were signed during the event, covering trade commitments worth over $4 million. In addition to these agreements, several other deals in various sectors are currently in the process of being finalized.

Tipu emphasized that the presence of Iranian traders at the Karachi agriculture exhibition is indicative of the deepening engagement of Iran’s private sector with Pakistan. He encouraged the business communities of both nations to continue strengthening their interactions to achieve mutual benefits.
