Tehran:Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei has criticized the ruling elites of the United States for following what he describes as a fraudulent Israeli regime. He warned that any attack on the Islamic Republic of Iran would lead to defeat rather than victory for the US.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Baqaei shared his views on his X account on Wednesday. His comments came on the occasion of the anniversary of the 1979 US Embassy takeover, known as the National Day of the Fight against Global Arrogance. He highlighted what he sees as the US administration's misunderstanding of the Iranian nation during the presidency of Donald Trump.

Baqaei accused Trump of being deceived by Israel into engaging in an unlawful war against Iran, driven by greed and hubris. He stated that the US's calculations and assumptions were flawed, leading to strategic misjudgments due to a fundamental misunderstanding of Iran and the resilience and pride of its people.

Furthermore, Baqaei referenced the US midterm elections, suggesting that the American people had sent a clear message to Trump. He warned that if the US continues to ignore reality and historical lessons, the consequences of their actions would be severe. He stressed that attacking Iran would not bring victory but only result in defeat, as Iran cannot be intimidated or subdued through threats or aggression.
