Beijing Opposes Washington’s Unlawful Measures Against Tehran

Beijing: The Chinese ambassador to Iran has voiced opposition to the measures of the United States and the Israeli regime against Iran. Cong Peiwu said on Tuesday at an event marking the 55th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Iran and China that the Chinese government seeks stronger and broader relations between the two countries.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Cong Peiwu, the Chinese ambassador, expressed the Chinese government's disapproval of the actions taken by the United States and Israel against Iran. During his address, he mentioned that Chinese President Xi Jinping has put forward four initiatives to the United Nations aimed at preserving and promoting peace and stability in the Middle East.

Cong described the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations as the beginning of effective and profound engagement that can create a new level of cooperation between the two countries. He emphasized the importance of this milestone as an opportunity to enhance bilateral ties and explore new avenues for collaboration.

Alaeddin Boroujerdi, the Chairman of the Iran-China Friendship Association, also expressed gratitude to the Chinese ambassador and embassy for organizing the event. He highlighted the deep and historical nature of Iran-China relations and stressed the need to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries. Boroujerdi noted that the relationship has maintained a positive and steady path across different historical periods and has entered a new phase in the 20th century.
