Tehran: Given the deep strategic partnership between Iran and China, maintaining close and continuous consultations with Beijing remains a top priority for Tehran, Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi says following a visit to China on April 6.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, in a post shared on his Instagram account on Friday, Araghchi said that in his meeting with China Foreign Minister Wang Yi, the two officials had exchanged views on key issues including the recent imposed war against Iran, the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, developments across West Asia, the expansion of trade relations, and the broadening of international cooperation.
The top diplomat further noted that during the visit, China's constructive stance and continued support for Iran were reaffirmed. Araghchi also expressed his sincere gratitude to the Chinese side for their warm hospitality.
