Tehran: Prosecutor General Mohammad Movahhedi Azad announced that criminal cases have been initiated concerning alleged US crimes in multiple regions across Iran. The evidence collected in these cases is currently under review by the relevant authorities.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Movahhedi Azad made these remarks during the 15th meeting of the Prosecutor General's deputies held in Tehran. He mentioned specific incidents including alleged US crimes in Minab and Lamerd, the assassination of the late leader of the Islamic Revolution and his family members, and an attack on a wedding ceremony in Sirik. Prosecutors in Tehran and other affected areas have opened cases to investigate these matters further.

Movahhedi Azad criticized the presence of US military bases in the region, suggesting they pose a challenge to the national sovereignty of various countries. He urged prosecutors general to defend public interests by safeguarding their people's right to independence and preventing foreign military bases from compromising their sovereignty.
