Gaza city: A spokesperson for Hamas, Hazem Qassem, has criticized an article published by the Board of Peace on its official X account, describing it as biased and unfair toward the Palestinian people and their resistance.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Qassem said the article contained information with no basis in fact and failed to present a balanced account of developments on the ground and the political developments related to the Gaza ceasefire agreement, as reported by Palestinian media on Saturday.

He stressed the importance of the Board of Peace adhering to a balanced and objective approach, calling on the council to avoid publishing material that could harm any Palestinian party or support the narrative of the Israeli regime.

The Hamas spokesperson said that the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip are experiencing repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement, including attacks on civilians, and are enduring extremely challenging humanitarian conditions.

Qassem emphasized the need for the Board of Peace and its director, Nickolay Mladenov, to focus on their responsibilities, including consolidating the ceasefire, working to stop violations, ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid, and monitoring implementation of previously reached agreements.

He said these actions could help restore stability and support the Palestinian people.

The Board of Peace is a US-led international organization established in early 2026 to oversee post-war governance, reconstruction, and disarmament in the Gaza Strip. It is chaired by US President Donald Trump.
