Caracas: Venezuela’s Foreign Minister Yv¡n Gil has reaffirmed his country’s support for Palestine, saying that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is ‘a war criminal’ who continues to sabotage peace efforts. Benjamin Netanyahu, a war criminal and serial killer, remains determined to sabotage peace efforts supported by Arab and Muslim countries, and to which Hamas has responded positively, Gil said on his Telegram page as reported by Spain-based EFE international news agency.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the top Venezuelan diplomat called for respecting all rights of the Palestinian people and to pave the way for their safe return to their lands through a definitive peace process. Gil’s comments come as Israel has continued its attacks against Palestinians, killing dozens of people in the latest strikes since Saturday.

On Friday, Hamas responded to a proposal by US President Donald Trump to end the war in Gaza, agreeing to some parts and demanding more negotiations on others.
