Tehran: Iran's Minister of Education Alireza Kazemi has announced the tragic loss of 346 students, teachers, and staff members who were martyred during the recent 40-day US-Israeli attacks on Iran. Among those lost, 279 were students.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Kazemi revealed these figures during a meeting with several members of parliament. The conflict has also led to the total destruction of 20 educational facilities and inflicted damage on over 1,200 others.

Kazemi further reported that 775 of the damaged schools have already been repaired and are back in operation. The minister added that public donations are aiding the reconstruction efforts for the remaining damaged schools. He assured that the 20 completely destroyed schools will be rebuilt with modern educational equipment and are expected to be ready for the next academic year.
