Tehran:President Masoud Pezeshkian has asserted that the views held by some European nations regarding Iran do not accurately represent the Islamic Republic's realities. He urged Denmark's new ambassador to help portray a more realistic image of Iran.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Pezeshkian made these statements during a ceremony where he received the credentials of Christian Atzen, Denmark's new Ambassador to Iran.
Pezeshkian emphasized that the perceptions shaped among some European countries are not aligned with Iran's true nature. He expressed his belief that Ambassador Atzen would observe Iranian society, culture, and civilization firsthand and contribute to correcting these misconceptions.
Highlighting Iran's peaceful and engagement-oriented stance, Pezeshkian noted the nation's historical pursuit of peace, tranquility, and constructive interactions with other countries. He stated that Iran is keen to enhance relations and interactions with Denmark.
Ambassador Atzen expressed his pleasure at starting his mission in Iran, remarking on his admiration for the country's civilization, history, and culture. He committed to conveying a fair and accurate representation of Iran to Denmark, promising to do so with sincerity.
