Tehran: The speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf, has emphasized the importance of recognizing the deceitfulness and dishonesty of the United States. During a meeting with Sheikh Khalid bin Hilal Al Maawali, the speaker of the Consultative Council of the Sultanate of Oman, Qalibaf stressed that officials and elites of Islamic countries must not overlook these traits of the US.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Qalibaf highlighted the inconsistency in American actions, citing five rounds of talks with Iran, which were followed by an attack just before the sixth round. He expressed gratitude towards the Omani Sultan and people for their support and condemnation of the Israeli and American aggression against Iran.

Qalibaf pointed out that the US and Israeli regimes understand no language but the language of power, adding that Islam does not permit submission to coercion. He referenced the assassination of Iranian scientists and commanders by Israel, accusing them of displaying state terrorism.

He further noted that Iran’s forceful response compelled the aggressors to request a ceasefire, and reports indicate that Muslims and justice-seekers worldwide welcomed Iran’s reaction. Al Maawali, in turn, expressed regret over the Israeli-American attacks on Iran, lamenting the missed opportunity for a peaceful agreement due to military actions.

Al Maawali also criticized the global silence regarding crimes committed in Gaza by the Israeli regime, highlighting the starvation of vulnerable populations. Qalibaf and his parliamentary delegation recently returned to Iran after a two-day visit to Geneva, Switzerland, where they participated in various sessions and held bilateral meetings.
