Geneva: The speaker of Majlis, Iran’s Parliament, Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf, has sharply criticized the speaker of the Israeli Knesset, labeling him ‘a disgrace to humanity’. This criticism comes in the wake of the Knesset speaker’s denial of allegations that Palestinian children are facing starvation in the Gaza Strip.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Qalibaf expressed his disapproval on his X account, accusing the Knesset speaker of dismissing the dire situation in Gaza as ‘fake news.’ He substantiated his claims by referring to four documents published by international organizations, which he cited to support his assertion of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

While addressing the Sixth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament held in Geneva, Switzerland, Qalibaf further escalated his rhetoric by comparing the Israeli regime to ‘the 21st-century Nazis.’ In response, the Speaker of the Knesset challenged Qalibaf’s statements but did not reference any reports from international organizations to counter the claims.
