Tehran: Head of Iran's Expediency Council Ayatollah Sadegh Amoli Larijani has called for preserving national unity and cohesion to overcome challenges and achieve national progress. In a message on Sunday marking the birth anniversary of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), Larijani emphasized that unity and cohesion, grounded in the teachings of the Quran and the tradition of the Prophet, are both a rational and religious duty for overcoming obstacles and reaching the heights of honor and greatness.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Larijani also referred to a message issued by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayyid Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei. Larijani expressed that this message will protect Iran against plots hatched by the global arrogance. In his message, the Leader described the United States and the Israeli regime as 'sworn enemies' of Muslim unity, stressing the need for greater solidarity and cooperation across the Islamic world.
