Minab: Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has described the Minab school massacre as an eternal wound on Iran, urging people and contemporary art enthusiasts to visit an exhibition featuring paintings inspired by the incident.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Araghchi expressed his thoughts in an Instagram post on Saturday night, sharing his experience of visiting the exhibition the previous day. He described it as a place where art weeps and evokes a similar emotional response from visitors. The paintings on display convey the suffering and innocence of the children of Minab, with colors speaking in place of words and canvases expressing what cannot be articulated through language.

Araghchi elaborated that the artworks stand as a bitter reminder of the crime committed by enemies of Iran against the innocent children of the land. He emphasized that the tragedy will neither fade with time nor be erased from the collective memory of the grieving nation. The foreign minister commended the artists for their efforts in preserving the memory of the victims, ensuring that their suffering remains acknowledged.

The Shajareh Tayyabeh primary school was the target of a missile attack on February 28, marking the first day of the second US-Israeli war of aggression on Iran within a year. The attack resulted in the death of nearly 170 individuals, including students, teachers, and parents. Araghchi extended an invitation to Iranians and those interested in contemporary Iranian art to visit the exhibition, allowing the memory of the tragic event to be shared and understood through artistic expression.
