Tehran: Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has emphasized the need to strengthen and expand bilateral relations with Vietnam, particularly in the political, tourism, trade, and economic sectors. Iran's new ambassador to Vietnam, Javad Ghasemi, met with Araghchi on Sunday before departing for Hanoi.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, during their meeting, the new envoy briefed the top Iranian diplomat on his mission and his plans to strengthen the ties between Tehran and Hanoi. For his part, Araghchi emphasized the need to expand and further enhance relations, particularly in the political, economic, trade, and tourism sectors.
