Tehran: The Ministry of Intelligence in Iran has successfully dismantled two terrorist cells linked to Israel's Mossad across six provinces. These cells, along with an agent attempting to transfer sensitive information from a military center abroad, have been apprehended, the ministry reported.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the Intelligence Ministry released a statement revealing that one of the terrorists was killed during an armed confrontation. A four-person operational team, associated with Mossad and preparing for terrorist activities in West Azerbaijan and Tehran provinces, was intercepted and dismantled in West Azerbaijan Province before they could execute any plans.

The ministry detailed that this team had received financial backing from Mossad in several installments to conduct terrorist operations targeting sensitive centers and government buildings, with the additional objective of assassinating a specific individual in Tehran. An armed standoff led to the death of one agent, while three others were captured, the statement further noted.

Another operational cell, linked to the Israeli regime, was in the reconnaissance phase for a planned terror attack against Iran's military personnel in Kerman and Alborz provinces when it was detected and arrested. The authorities apprehended three members of this cell and uncovered a significant cache of weapons and espionage equipment in their hideout.

The confiscated items included three drones with a dedicated transport vehicle, three semi-automatic pistols with silencers, a Winchester rifle, a scoped rifle, large quantities of ammunition, several long-range handheld and vehicle-mounted two-way radios, Starlink receiver devices, bulletproof vests, among other equipment.

In addition, a traitor identified as 'Masoud,' who planned to send classified information about a military center to foreign entities, was identified and arrested in northern Iran.
