Najaf: Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has hailed the Arbaeen ceremony as a significant event that exemplifies the unity between Iraq and Iran. Speaking to the Iraqi News Agency (INA) late on Monday, Araghchi expressed his observations upon arriving in the holy city of Najaf, where he noted the meticulous preparations and arrangements made for visitors. He remarked on the widespread satisfaction with this year's services compared to the previous year, reflecting continuous enhancements in the event's organization.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Araghchi emphasized that the ceremonies highlight the unity between the Iraqi and Iranian peoples, with participants from both nations forming the majority. He pointed out that this unity is a testament to the robust religious and ideological connections between the two countries. Araghchi referenced the solidarity previously displayed during the funeral procession of the martyred Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, which showcased the profound sentiment and deep-rooted unity shared by the two peoples.

In discussing bilateral relations, Araghchi commented on the strong ties between Iran and the Iraqi government, noting that relations are at an optimal level. He highlighted the recent visit of the Iraqi Prime Minister to Tehran, which included productive discussions. Araghchi also mentioned the close cooperation between the two nations, encompassing various political fields, unified stances on common issues, economic and security matters, as well as joint efforts in securing borders, regulating trade, and developing transit routes.
