Tehran: First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref has announced that foreign officials and delegations will begin arriving in Iran on Friday to participate in the farewell and funeral ceremonies for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Aref made this announcement during a cabinet meeting he chaired, highlighting the comprehensive planning undertaken to receive international guests. This includes facilitating their participation in the ceremonies and arranging bilateral meetings with Iranian officials.

Aref stated, "From Friday, dear guests from various countries will enter the country to attend this ceremony." He emphasized that proper arrangements have been made to welcome these guests and ensure their participation in the ceremonies, as well as in meetings with Iranian officials.

The public farewell ceremonies for Ayatollah Khamenei are scheduled to commence on July 4 at the Imam Khomeini Grand Mosalla. This will be followed by funeral processions in Tehran on July 6 and in Qom on July 7. Ayatollah Khamenei will be laid to rest on July 9 at the Imam Reza Shrine in Mashhad.

Ayatollah Khamenei and several members of his household were martyred in a terrorist US-Israeli strike targeting his residence in Tehran on February 28. This tragic event marked the beginning of a joint war of aggression launched by American and Israeli regimes against Iran.
