Minab:Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei marked the first day of the new school year by honoring the memory of the Minab school students who were killed in a US-Israeli attack. He expressed that the "angels of Minab" will forever remain in the hearts of Iranians.

In a post on his X account on Wednesday, marking the start of the new school year and honoring the Minab students by posting photos of them, Baqaei wrote, 'Today is the first day of Mehr, the day Iranian schools reopen, and these are the innocent faces of the children of #Minab, martyred in the savage American Tomahawk missile attack of 28 February.'

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Baqaei lamented that the students should have been present to celebrate the start of the school year with joy and enthusiasm. Instead, he noted, their lives were tragically cut short, and they now rest in the earth.

Baqaei criticized the government, whose president he accused of mockingly undermining international law from the UN podium, holding them accountable for what he described as an unforgivable war crime. He also stressed that those who remained silent or indifferent share in the responsibility.

He concluded by stating that the Iranian people will never forget the innocent faces of the students and will not forgive their killers.
