New York:President Masoud Pezeshkian is set to address the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York today.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Pezeshkian arrived at John F. Kennedy International Airport early this morning, welcomed by Iran's ambassador and charg© d'affaires to the United Nations.

Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, along with the Foreign Ministry delegation, had arrived in New York on Monday. Araghchi has since engaged in bilateral meetings with various international officials and counterparts.

During his visit, President Pezeshkian will outline the Islamic Republic of Iran's positions at the UN General Assembly and conduct meetings with several heads of state present at the session. Additionally, he will meet with Iranian academics and residents in the United States, as well as US intellectuals and think tanks.

The 81st UN General Assembly is taking place in New York from September 22 to 28.
