French President Accused of Twisting Iran’s Nuclear Narrative: Foreign Ministry Criticism

Tehran: Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei has accused French President Emmanuel Macron of distorting the facts surrounding Iran’s nuclear program.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Baqaei expressed his disapproval on his X account, criticizing Macron for allegedly misrepresenting Iran’s nuclear activities while ignoring Israel’s aggressive actions. Baqaei condemned Israel for targeting peaceful nuclear facilities, bombing residential areas, and committing violence against Iranians, actions he described as blatant violations of international law. He highlighted the perceived hypocrisy in Macron’s stance on Iran.

Baqaei further pointed to the Israeli strikes on Iran, listing the names of several athletes who were reportedly killed by Israeli bombs in their homes. The victims included Amir-Ali Amini, Parsa Mansour, Niloufar Qalehvand, and Mehdi Poladvand. Baqaei emphasized that those who support such actions are complicit in war crimes, stressing that accountability would be sought for the regime’s actions.

In a related message, Baqaei shared footage of a teacher mourning her students who were allegedly killed in Israeli airstrikes. He denounced the actions as war crimes, stating that they were committed through overt aggression rather than as preemptive strikes.

The situation escalated on June 13, when Israel launched a series of strikes on Iran, targeting Tehran and its surrounding areas. The attacks also included targeted strikes against high-ranking Iranian military officials, including Major General Mohammad Baqeri and Major General Hossein Salami, both of whom were reportedly assassinated in Tehran.

In response to the attacks, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, Leader of the Islamic Revolution, declared that Israel had forged a ‘bitter and painful’ fate for itself.
