Tehran: The First Vice President of Iran returned to Tehran following his participation in the Third Conference of Landlocked Developing Countries. During his visit, he engaged in discussions with nine senior officials from various nations attending the summit.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Aref, who had traveled to Turkmenistan for the conference, emphasized the importance of attending the summit. He highlighted that the conference aimed to address the challenges faced by 32 landlocked developing countries concerning trade and transit exchanges. Iran expressed its willingness to collaborate with eight landlocked countries in the region and neighboring countries to enhance relations in logistics, transportation, and transit.

Aref further remarked on the besieged state of Gaza, labeling it as the most besieged region globally. He noted the severe humanitarian difficulties faced by the people of Gaza in accessing basic necessities. In light of these challenges, Iran has called for global cooperation to achieve a dignified ceasefire.
