Tehran: The Embassy, in a statement on the occasion of Islamic Human Rights Day, criticized the West’s double standards towards the crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the embassy emphasized that the continuation of this biased approach has discredited the global human rights project and highlighted the need for fundamental reforms in the international legal system.

The statement noted that August 5 is recognized as the International Day of Islamic Human Rights and Human Dignity, adopted by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in 1990. This day serves not only as a moment to honor the profound teachings of Islam on human dignity but also as a critical juncture to reflect on the performance of the international legal system amidst humanitarian crises.
