Tehran: The speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, has declared that the Zionist regime is 'the number one enemy of all Islamic countries.' He made these remarks during a meeting with Ali Falih Kadhim al-Zaidi, the prime minister of Iraq, held in Tehran on Thursday evening.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Ghalibaf emphasized the importance of cooperation between Iran and Iraq in maintaining the unity of Islamic nations against the Zionist regime. He expressed his gratitude to the people and government of Iraq for organizing the funeral ceremonies for the martyred Leader of the Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, in various Iraqi cities.

Ghalibaf underlined the significance of the cooperation between Tehran and Baghdad for the region's stability and the Islamic world. He expressed confidence that through mutual cooperation, Iran and Iraq could address many of the region's challenges.

In his response, al-Zaidi highlighted the shared destiny between Iran and Iraq, noting that Ayatollah Khamenei's funeral conveyed a significant image to the world. He commented on the immense status of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution among Muslims and the Shia community globally. Al-Zaidi remarked that the turnout for the funeral in Iraq, despite the intense heat, was an extraordinary gathering that sent a powerful image to the world.
