Tehran: Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf emphasized that unity among Islamic countries is necessary and inevitable, and said that the Islamic countries must learn from the experience of the recent war. While appreciating the position of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the occasion of the martyrdom of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution and Iranian citizens in the recent conflict, Ghalibaf highlighted the importance of solidarity among Islamic nations.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Ghalibaf noted that relations between Iran and Azerbaijan have improved in recent months, expressing hope that this positive trend would continue to expand. He stressed the importance of fostering closer ties, particularly in the parliamentary sphere, as a means to strengthen cooperation and mutual understanding between the nations.

Ghalibaf also extended his best wishes to the Republic of Azerbaijan for successfully hosting the Conference of the Union of Parliamentary Unions of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (PUIC). He underscored the potential benefits of such gatherings in promoting unity and collaboration among member states.
