Tehran: Iran and the Resistance Front are on a common fundamental path against hegemony, Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said. Ghalibaf made the remarks during a meeting with Bassem Naim, a Hamas official responsible for Islamic communications, in Tehran on Wednesday.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Ghalibaf highlighted that while negotiations with the United States were not outright rejected, they were considered a tool in the broader struggle. He noted that the first article of the understanding between Iran and the US centered on ending the war against Iran and its allies in the Resistance Front. This contrasts with the US's initially proposed 15-article text, which called for a complete cessation of Iran's missile, nuclear, and Resistance Front activities.

During the meeting, Naim expressed that Iran's military and political actions had been a source of pride in the region. He noted that many countries had been surprised by Iran's performance against the United States, a reaction that Hamas had anticipated. Naim further stated that the Palestinian confrontation with Israel would persist until Israel's presence and effects were eradicated from Palestinian land.
