Tehran: Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf in response to the new remarks by US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent wrote on X, stating, "All your credibility is at risk, and the American empire is in decline."

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Ghalibaf criticized the United States for its financial priorities, suggesting that instead of supporting Israel and maintaining 750 military bases, the US should invest in its own citizens. He emphasized that this decision would be more sensible for the government.

Furthermore, Ghalibaf addressed the US Treasury Secretary directly, referring to him as "Scotty man" and cautioning that his credibility is in jeopardy, urging him to take action.
