Tehran: Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has stated that Washington's increased pressure will not compel Tehran to accept demands beyond the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). In a post on his X account on Tuesday, Ghalibaf criticized the United States' strategy, suggesting that the belief in gaining concessions by intensifying pressure on Iran is misguided.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Ghalibaf expressed skepticism about the capabilities of US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and War Secretary Pete Hegseth in achieving such outcomes. He described the officials as being 'way out of their league' in dealing with the situation. Ghalibaf further advised against expecting the US officials to resolve the issues, metaphorically stating, 'Stop waiting for the clown crew to pull a rabbit out of their hat and clean up the mess you made.'
