Faryab:The gunman who assassinated police officer Major Mehdi Jamshidi in Faryab County, Kerman Province, has been killed in a security operation following intelligence efforts.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the governor of Faryab County, Abolhassan Hosseini, announced that the shooter was killed during an operation by security forces. This action took place after intelligence work led to the identification of the suspect's hideout, with coordination from judicial authorities.

Major Mehdi Jamshidi was shot by armed assailants in central Faryab on Thursday evening, October 8, while he was accompanied by his child.
