Gaza city: Hamas has accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of insisting on continuing the war on Gaza regardless of the lives or fate of Israeli captives held in the besieged enclave. In a statement on Tuesday, the Palestinian resistance movement said Israel persists in committing ‘brutal crimes’ through indiscriminate bombardment across Gaza, targeting civilian homes and displacement camps.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Hamas claims that the ongoing conflict results in daily scenes of bloodshed, taking the lives of numerous civilians, including children. The group describes these actions as a clear defiance of the international community and an evident pursuit of policies they term as genocide and organized starvation.

Hamas further accuses Netanyahu of extending an ‘unproductive war’ to benefit his political and personal interests, ignoring the well-being of captives. The movement also denounces Israel’s ‘systematic starvation policy,’ asserting that Tel Aviv intentionally hinders aid distribution to over two million Gazans, thus depriving them of essential human rights, notably food access.

The statement from Hamas calls on Arab and Islamic nations to exert pressure on the US government and use their influence to stop Israeli actions and prevent further displacement of Palestinians. They caution that the ongoing conflict poses a threat to regional security.
