Tehran: The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) warns of the consequences of the Israeli regime's decision to launch a wide-scale military operation in the northeast of occupied Al-Quds, saying the move was part of the regime's ongoing aggression against Palestinians.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, in a statement, Hamas warned about what it described as the Israeli regime cabinet and military's growing war crimes and the repercussions of a planned extensive military operation in Shuafat refugee camp and the town of Anata in northeastern occupied Al-Quds.
Meanwhile, Hamas also pointed to other aggressions by the Israeli regime, including a complete blockade, the closure of entrances, the destruction of infrastructure, and widespread arrests of Palestinian citizens, stating that the city of Al-Quds, its settlements, and camps will remain solely Palestinian. Hamas declared that the attempts of the occupying regime to isolate, Judaize, and impose control over it will fail in the face of the resistance and steadfastness of Al-Quds's residents, their determination, and stability in their land.
Hamas added that the Israeli regime's war machine would never be able to implement its settlement expansion plans, emphasizing that their people will remain steadfast and committed to their land and rights until the end of the aggression and occupation.
The movement also called on all countries, including governments and peoples, to take broad and effective action to pressure the Israeli regime to halt its aggressions. Hamas further called for accountability for the leaders of the Israeli regime over their crimes and urged support for the Palestinian people in confronting the regime's continued aggression.
As the Israeli regime's aggressions against the occupied West Bank and Al-Quds have continued, the extremist Finance Minister of the Israeli regime, Bezalel Smotrich, called for the overthrow of the Palestinian Authority, asserting the necessity of war in the West Bank. He also claimed that weapons held by Palestinians would have to be collected during such a war in the near future.
