Strait of Hormuz Firmly Controlled by Iranian Forces: IRGC Commander

Tehran: Major General Mostafa Izadi, Deputy Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), asserted that the IRGC has a strong hold over the Strait of Hormuz, with Iran's Armed Forces fully prepared in the southern regions. Izadi made these remarks during a ceremony in the northeastern province of South Khorasan, emphasizing the operational capabilities of Iran's military forces.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Izadi highlighted that units from the IRGC, the Army, and the Law Enforcement Command are executing their missions effectively. He stated that IRGC units are strategically positioned across southern islands and coastal areas and are conducting their operations with resolve.

Izadi also mentioned that Iran has already initiated part of its response to what he described as the US maritime blockade. This response included an IRGC Aerospace Force missile strike on hostile vessels, an action that he claimed has been acknowledged by the opposing side.
