Hamburg Court Ruling on Iran Criticized by Iranian Embassy

Hamburg:Iran's Embassy in Germany has dismissed a recent ruling by a Hamburg court, labeling it as invalid and based on security-related and unfounded claims against Tehran. The embassy characterized the decision as an example of the West's double standards and political posturing towards Iran.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the Hamburg court sentenced two individuals on October 15, citing allegations that one of the defendants was connected to Iran's intelligence service and was planning actions against certain figures and Jewish centers in Germany.

In a statement, the Iranian Embassy emphasized the country's commitment to peaceful coexistence among followers of different religions, highlighting respect for Abrahamic religions, including Jews, as a deeply rooted aspect of Iranian history, culture, and religious beliefs.

The embassy's statement also criticized the West for its perceived double standards concerning the security of religious followers, pointing out that silence in response to attacks on Jewish religious sites in Iran indicates a contradiction in the West's human rights claims.
