Tehran: Iranians got together at Vahdat Hall in downtown Tehran on August 25, 2025, to pay respect to Mahmoud Farshchian, a renowned master of Persian miniature painting, who passed away on August 9 at the age of 95.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, a number of high-profile officials attended the ceremony, including Hossein Simaee-Sarraf, Minister of Science, Research and Technology; Abbas Salehi, Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance; and Mohammad Javad Zarif, former vice-president for strategic affairs.
