Iran and Egypt Foreign Ministers Discuss Yemen Situation

Tunis:Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdelatty, have engaged in discussions regarding regional developments, specifically focusing on the situation in Yemen and efforts to mitigate tensions. The two officials held a phone conversation to exchange views on these pressing issues.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the conversation took place on Tuesday morning and was aimed at exploring diplomatic initiatives to de-escalate tensions across the region.

This dialogue followed a recent phone call between Araghchi and Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister, Faisal bin Farhan, in which Araghchi emphasized that relying on military solutions without considering political alternatives could complicate the regional situation further. He also reiterated Iran's willingness to facilitate dialogue between Saudi Arabia and Yemen to aid in achieving a political resolution.
