Vienna: Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Majid Takht-e-Ravanchi and Olof Skoog, the European Union deputy foreign policy chief, have engaged in discussions concerning the nuclear issue, the lifting of sanctions against Iran, and the potential for future negotiations. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Takht-e-Ravanchi and Skoog have agreed to continue talks at various levels. Skoog has recently taken over from Enrique Mora in his position. In a related development, the fifth round of the Iran-Austria political consultations committee meeting took place in Vienna. During the meeting, Takht-e-Ravanchi, who was also invited, held discussions with Nikolaus Marschik, Austria's secretary-general and deputy foreign minister. The discussions covered bilateral relations in political, economic, cultural, research, and consular fields, alongside the latest regional and international developments. Both parties emphasized their commitment to expanding comprehensive ties grounded in mutual respect a nd shared interests.
