Astana: Iran's ambassador to Kazakhstan, Ali-Akbar Jokar, and Kazakhstan's Minister of Tourism and Sports, Yerbol Myrzabossynov, have discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in sports and tourism.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Jokar met with Myrzabossynov to explore avenues for expanding bilateral cooperation in these sectors. Both parties underscored the importance of broadening interactions and participating actively in international events. They also discussed the potential of organizing specialized meetings to showcase the tourism capabilities of Iran and Kazakhstan.

Jokar highlighted recent US attacks on a sports hall in Lamerd County and other sports facilities in Iran, urging the international sports community to respond to such incidents. Myrzabossynov expressed Kazakhstan's readiness to strengthen ties with Iran, indicating a welcoming stance towards enhanced collaboration in sports and tourism.
