Islamabad: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has emphasized the strong alignment between Iran and Pakistan on key regional issues, particularly their shared stance against the Israeli regime's actions in Gaza, Lebanon, and other countries. During his visit to Islamabad, Araghchi met with senior Pakistani government officials, highlighting the unified position of both nations in upcoming international forums, including the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, to address ongoing Israeli aggression. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Araghchi expressed appreciation for Pakistan's firm stance in supporting Palestine and condemning the actions of the Zionist regime. The Iranian diplomat underscored the close cooperation and shared positions of Iran and Pakistan on developments in Afghanistan, particularly concerning the fight against terrorism in the country. He also noted the importance of further deepening bilateral ties through continued political consultations across various areas of mutual inte rest. Araghchi's visit to Pakistan commenced on Monday and concluded late Tuesday. During his stay, he held discussions with Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Mohammad Ishaq Dar, as well as Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, reinforcing the commitment of both nations to collaborate on regional and international matters.
