Tehran: Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and visiting Philippine Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs Leo M. Herrera-Lim have discussed issues of mutual interest. Herrera-Lim is in Tehran to participate in the 8th round of Iran-Philippines political consultations.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, during the discussions, Araghchi highlighted the long-standing and friendly relations between Iran and the Philippines. He noted that holding political consultations and joint economic commissions regularly can pave the way for developing comprehensive ties between the two nations.

Herrera-Lim provided a report on his constructive negotiations with his Iranian counterpart, Majid Takht-Ravanchi. He emphasized the determination of Philippine officials to expand relations with Iran.
