New delhi: Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov, held talks on Thursday to discuss regional and international developments on the sidelines of a BRICS foreign ministers' meeting in the Indian capital. The discussions focused on the latest developments in West Asia and broader international interactions.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Araghchi, who arrived in New Delhi on Wednesday evening for the two-day BRICS gathering, had earlier conducted separate bilateral meetings with the foreign ministers of Malaysia and Brazil before engaging in discussions with Lavrov. The BRICS foreign ministers' meeting, which continues through Friday, brings together senior diplomats from the bloc's member states.
