Moscow: Iran’s Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development has announced reaching agreements on road, rail, and air cooperation with Russia, aiming to enhance these sectors further during an event in Moscow dubbed ‘Transport Week 2024.’
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Seyyed Kamal Hadianfar, representing the ministry at the Russian Transport Week event, stated that constructive and promising meetings were held with the Russian side and representatives from various countries, including Turkmenistan, Ecuador, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Belarus. Hadianfar mentioned that he and his Russian counterpart reviewed the latest status of road, rail, and air cooperation between the two countries. This included joint efforts in constructing the Rasht-Astara railway line and the North-South corridor, with a particular emphasis on increasing the capacity of the Caspian railway line to Rasht and Bandar Abbas.
