Ankara: Iran's Minister of Science, Research and Technology Hossein Simaei-Sarraf and Turkiye's Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin have emphasized the importance of strengthening scientific cooperation, joint research projects, and educational exchanges. The discussion took place during a meeting on the sidelines of the Turkish Educational Technologies Summit (TETZ).

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, during the meeting held on Sunday, Minister Sarraf highlighted the US-Israeli assaults on academic centers amid the recent conflict involving Iran. He underscored the need for ethical responsibility in the development and application of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence.

Sarraf extended a formal invitation to Minister Tekin to visit Iran's academic institutions as a gesture to further foster bilateral academic ties.

Minister Tekin expressed solidarity with Iran concerning the recent attacks and voiced criticism against Western human rights policies. Both ministers deliberated on strategies to enhance collaboration in higher education, research, and educational programs between the two nations.
