Tehran: The foreign ministers of Iran and Uzbekistan have reviewed the latest regional developments and bilateral relations in a telephone call.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, during the conversation on Friday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi briefed his Uzbek counterpart, Bakhtiyor Saidov, on the latest developments regarding the implementation of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Tehran and Washington aimed at ending the imposed war.

The Uzbek foreign minister welcomed the ongoing diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions in West Asia, emphasizing the necessity of continuing this process and fulfilling mutual commitments.

Both sides also stressed the importance of sustained consultations and expanding bilateral relations between Iran and Uzbekistan across all areas of mutual interest.
